2.3% CD vs 4.03% CD?????

Explain this to me, why would somebody purchase a 6-month CD at 2.3% if they can go elsewhere and get over 4% on the same EXACT CD?

Depends on the minimum deposit requirement? Usually higher interest requires higher deposit than the lower one....

That is a good point, but was taking that out of the equation.

just go buy 6 month t-bills at a discount of 4.15% for an annualized return of 4.30%...and its state tax free..
